NEW software available: V3.0.A2227.D369.F102

This is the first release of our Text to Speech function (TTS), which has been developed in conjunction with the RNIB. As well as the features and fixes of the previous version, this new software version includes fixes for the following issues.

• Added Text to Speech
• Speeded up creation of bookings
• General improvements to speed, stability and reliability
• Improve conflict resolution user interface
• Where possible, record the event at the requested time rather than the first occurrence
• Added check for situation where a full disk could prevent a USB upgrade

This upgrade is available via Internet Software Upgrade feature on your unit (Menu - Service - ) then install the voice file from Menu - Settings - Accessibility Settings -. If you do not have an internet connection on your unit follow the instructions below.

USB Software Upgrade allows you to upgrade your Digital HD Recorder using a USB Flash drive connected to the USB input socket.

For the Text To Speech version, this upgrade is a little more complicated than a standard upgrade as you will have to install an extra file that contains the Voice, as well as the software

To upgrade the Software, follow these instructions:

• Check what version software is available (above) and what software you have (You can do this by viewing the manufacturing details (Menu -Service Menu- Manufacturing details))
• Download the upgrade Software file below, this may take a few minutes (please check if you have A1100).
• Transfer the file to the root directory of your USB Flash drive (Do not rename the file and do not place in a folder).
• If you require Text To Speech Download the Voice file below
• Transfer this file to the root directory of your USB Flash drive (so there are now two files).
• Plug your USB Flash drive into either USB input socket of the unit.
• Select USB Software Upgrade from the service (menu-service menu-USB software upgrade).
• When prompted, select yes to upgrade the unit.
• After a few minutes the unit will reset. When it starts again, use as normal. (You can check the upgrade was successful by viewing manufacturers details)
• Once the unit has upgraded you can now install the Voice file for Text To Speech (if not required Stop Here)
• With the USB flash drive still plugged in, go to the menu - settings - accessibility settings. Here you will see an option to install Text To Speech, Select this and confirm the installation
• After a further 4-5 minutes the unit will reset again and when when it restarts all features will now be available. You can unplug the USB drive and use the unit as normal
