Technical Issues
THE PRODUCT: MDR-250 products up to and including Software Version V1.0.A1101.M1123.
THE PROBLEM:When bringing the unit out of standby ‘NO SIGNAL’ message is displayed. The only way to restore the TV signal is to either switch the power off and on again or alternatively use the Reset Set Top Box option in the settings menu.
THE SOLUTION: Turn off the Update Channels feature. To do this use the following procedure:
- Press ‘MENU’ on the remote control
- Scroll down to ‘SETTINGS’ (item-2 on the list)
- Press ‘OK’
- Scroll down to ‘UPDATE CHANNELS’ (item-8 on the list)
- Change the setting from ‘AUTOMATICALLY’ to ‘OFF’
- Press the ‘BACK’ button twice to go back to normal
The fix for this problem will be included when a new software version is made available in the future.
THE PRODUCT: DTR-xxx & DTR-Zxxx products incorporating the series record feature up to and including Software Version V.1.2.A1139.M1147.
THE PROBLEM: When using the Electronic Program Guide (EPG) to record a film on Channel 5 which has a news bulletin in between, the recording cannot be made.
THE SOLUTION: Instead of using the EPG to make the recording, use the INFO bar instead:
- Press INFO and use the cursor to select the film you want to record (Cursor UP/DOWN changes the channel & Cursor LEFT/RIGHT selects the programme).
- Once the programme is in view on the INFO bar, press RECORD (you only need to record the first half of the film as the second half will be recorded automatically).
- Check either timers or the EPG to check that the recording has been set.
The fix for this problem will be included when a new software version is made available in the future.
