“TVonics are delighted to announce that our latest products are now fully tested and certified to the new Freeview+ standard. Among the great features added by Freeview+ is the option to record a whole series at the touch of a button. TVonics will make Freeview+ features available to our existing customers by upgrading the software in our DTRFP-1600 and DTR-FP2500 products “over the air” during December. We will provide the exact date closer to the time. If you own a DTR-FP1600 or DTR-FP2500 and would like to receive these new features, simply ensure that your box is plugged in and is connected to your aerial in December. We will do the rest while the box is in standby. If you are worried about leaving your box in standby, TVonics are happy to reveal that, in standby, your box uses only a fraction of the power (less than 2W) and has won the approval of the Energy Saving Trust. TVonics regret that the broadcast Freeview+ implementation has proved to be incompatible with our older DVR and DVR-FP products and that we are unable to add Freeview+ to those boxes.”
