Another useful button on your remote control is the text button. You can use it with Channel 4's and ITV’s Teletext feature and Sky's Skytext feature.

Whenever an image of the red button or the words “red button” appears on your TV screen, you can use the red button on your remote control. Some of these special features might include political events, music festivals or large sporting events. You can use your Freeview remote control’s arrow keys and OK button to navigate through this menu of interactive features.

Freeview also provides many other services. These include subtitles for your favourite shows, games, interactive news, and TV listings, lottery results, weather, holiday information, sport, sport betting, entertainment, dating and finance.
